Greetings! Under the aegis of the National Association for Constitution of India (NACI), we invite you to a special discussion forum to ensure public participation on the significant occasion of the “One Nation, One Election” law being formulated in the country.
In this program, primarily three types of groups will provide their advice and opinions.
1. Advocates and Judges: Movements in the country often originate with advocates, and their role in governing the nation is crucial. Therefore, we have reserved a special place for judges, advocates, and law students nationwide to share their insights and perspectives.
2. Politicians and Leaders: Politicians and leaders play a vital role in the country’s legislature. Their primary responsibility is creating laws since they serve as representatives of the people.
3. Social Workers: Social workers make a significant contribution to public welfare and play a crucial role in addressing the pain and hardships of the people. Their involvement is essential in serving the community.
During the program, the government’s vision for the “One Nation, One Election” initiative will be explained. You will be informed about the rationale and necessity of this law from the government’s perspective.
Key points to be addressed include:
- Your Opinion on the Law: Do you support this law? If yes, why? If not, why not?
- Proposed Changes: What changes or modifications would you like to suggest for this law?
- Discussion on Practicality, Impact, and Challenges: The forum will engage in a detailed discussion about the feasibility, implications, and potential challenges of implementing this law.
Your opinions and suggestions on these topics will be compiled into a formal report, which will be submitted to the Law Commission of India and the Joint Parliamentary Committee for review.
